My first sweet tooth teethers

These teethers are not just for babies needing to gum everything.  But also children that have a lot of stress.  Have you ever seen someone chewing on a pencil or pen, this helps them concentrate and think more clearly.  Babies or toddlers chew on things not only because their teeth are growing in but also because there is something causing them stress.  I learned this from my son's OT.  I see it in his face when he is becoming too stressed out.

These "oreo" shaped teethers are not only cute but they work.  So far my son hasn't been able to bite through them.  They have textured areas for babies that are teething, which helps sooth them.  The string that is attached has a break away clasp so if it does get hung on something just a little pressure and it snaps.  It is not recommended that a baby wear the necklace, but the parent.  The string can be taken out so there is a less likely chance the baby can get tangled in it if they hold it.

My son (who is almost 4) wears this all the time and loves it.  If it's not around his neck (like nap time) I ask him where is his "oreo" and he runs to find it.  I couldn't ask for a better tether.
