Although the book seems to be a very good read, I
believe it is not. The story is out of
sync and the timeline bounces around. I
had a very hard time keeping up with who was who. I am not sure if this is a true story or not
but even true stories the timeline is put together before publishing. It seems at first that the author was trying
to hit a word count. An example “….daughter’s
boyfriends parents.” There are better was to word phrases like this, but
reading a part of the book I never do I understand why it is written that
was. It was translated from Russian to
English. Don’t get me wrong there are
some pages that grab you but then it drops you on the page after.

I find it is disheartening when you read a book that you just can't get into. I also think of this review as a challenge so I just might have to get it and see if I feel the same way. Thanks for your review!
